Dr. Tabassum Sheikh: HOD and Associate Professor in G.M. Momin Women's College. She has
completed her doctoral degree in 'Philosophy of Human Rights with reference to Globalisation and
Humanism'. Her area of interest is human rights and Social Philosophy. She has presented a range of
papers on all aspects of Philosophy both in India and abroad.
Sudarshan Iyengar: Ph.D. Economics. Former Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmadabad
(2005-14) founded by Mahatma Gandhi. Former Director, Centre for Social Studies, Surat (2004-
05), and Gujarat Institute of Development Research, Ahmadabad (1999-2004). Presently, Chair Pro-
fessor, Gandhian Philosophy, at IIT, Mumbai.
S. N. Subba Rao: A renowned speaker, personality and Social reformer working in the footsteps of
Mahatma Gandhi. Walked with Vinoba Bhave, through the terrains of Chambal valley as part of the
Bhoodan Movement and rehabilitated the dacoits who surrendered in 1960.Organised multiple and
massive National Integration Camps across India. Groomed thousands of youngsters to lead national-
istic life.
Dr. Roderick Church: Brock University (Ontario), Lecturer to Associate Professor and Chair in the
Department of Politics, Member of University Senate in 1970-1999. Malaspina University-College
(now Vancouver Island University), Dean of Multidisciplinary Studies, then Chief Information Office
(responsible for IT, the Library, and Institutional Research)
Dr. Parag Cholkar: B.Tech., M.A., Ph.D. [Gandhian thought] Served as an officer in State Bank of
Bikaner and Jaipur for 10 years after graduation and then resigned and joined Sarvodaya fraternity. He
edited Marathi fortnightly 'Samyayog' for about 20 years, was secretary of Sarvodaya Ashram, Nagpur
for 9 years, and was in-charge of Paramdham Prakashan, publishers of Vinoba literature in Marathi,
for 5 years. He was also convener of Bhoodan-Gramdan cell of Sarva Seva Sangh for a few years.
Dr. Milind Bokil: A Sociologist and Marathi writer from Pune. He was involved into the 'Sampoorna
Kranti' movement led by Jayprakash Narayan in the 70s and since then has been with civil society
organizations. Country Representative for Oxfam Australia from 2006 to 2009. Done extensive work
with tribal communities in Maharashtra, and his other research interests centre on natural resource
management, rural development, education, gender issues and unorganized labour.
